IGive Initiative

The IGive Initiative is a heartfelt collaboration between the community-based organizations (CBOs), The Inclusive Community for Advocacy and Development (TICAD) and the IGive Foundation by LAEL Academy, designed to uplift and empower 130 visually impaired boys and girls at the FCT School of the Blind in Jabi, Abuja. This project is part of our commemoration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, celebrated on December 3, 2024, under the theme, “Amplifying the Leadership of Disabled People for an Inclusive and Sustainable Future.”

Through this initiative, we aim to educate and empower these students by providing them with opportunities for personal and educational growth, as well as raising awareness within the broader community about the importance of inclusivity and diversity. This includes essential health and hygiene practices while providing them with essential take-home items such as rice, cooking oil, noodles, and tomato sachets, while also hosting a memorable event filled with nourishing meals and refreshments to celebrate these young boys and girls. Your contributions will not only support their physical well-being but also serve as a beacon of hope, showing them they are valued members of our community.

As we share our vision of creating a more inclusive and supportive environment for people with disabilities, together we can create a supportive community for all individuals, irrespective of their abilities.

Your support would significantly contribute to the success of this project by enabling us to reach more students and make a tangible impact on their lives.
